Try Chinese Apricot. I have had no problems with that variety.
Nor with Goldcot. The Chinese is turning 8 this year, and has never had
anything that affected the other various trees - no black knot, no cankers,
no borers, even the earwigs left that one alone. It came from Millers and I
do not know the rootstock.
