The photo you posted is a picture of Victoria's "Hampshire Red", a seedling of Hampshire she selected, which I suspect has a red-fleshed crab as the pollen parent - foliage is purple tinted(at least early in the year), blossoms are rosy pink, bark is dark, wood is dark purple.
Vic says the fruit is small - comparable to the "Lady" apple in size, with good flavor, but is not  red-fleshed.
