I agree, transplant ASAP. Preferably if still completely dormant. Other idea : what about taking hardwood or softwood cuttings and trying to root them ? Would be a lot easier/ less labor & strained muscles, but I don't know how much longer it would take to get a fruiting vine this way.

I'ld also recommend a drip irrigation system...even
big paint buckets with holes...you can't water a big
transplant enough during the hot IA summer. and it
should be moved NOW or in the fall.
