Hi Rick,
There are all kinds of other plants from North America which spread all over
Europe:
Sunflower
Potatoes
Tomatoes
Peppers
Squash
Corn
to name but a few.
I have a great book on this subject entitled :
Seeds of Change : Five Hundred Years since Columbus, Herman J. Viola &
Carolyn Margolis, Smithsonian Institution Press, 1991.
A wonderful book well worth reading.
