The duveteux lapin mentioned a metal splice to prevent a graft from
breaking. I have wondered about using copper flashing and/or copper
boatbuilders' brads to possibly add an insect/fungus/bacterial
infection/infestation ameliorative effect to the graft area. Copper has
a rep of being toxic to lower forms of life. Any ideas?
