Can anyone tell me anything about "Berry Blue" or "Blue
Belle". I got fruit on my bushes last spring. I was
underwhelmed to say the least, but neither was a named
variety. Before I gave up on them as a lost cause, I thought
I might try a "named" variety. Has anyone tasked either of
these two varieties? What else can you tell me?

Don Birkholz continues to grow peaches in deep trenches with an A-frame
structure covering the trench. He covers the A-frame with 2 layers of
plastic in the winter, and has told me that it reaches -25F under the
plastic when it gets -40F outside. The amount of work required is quite
high, but may be worth it depending on how much you want peaches.
