Title: Re: [NAFEX] grafting on medlar
Graft other medlars on it.  Quince and loquat don't make long-term compatible grafts.  Loquats are usually grafted on pear or quince and the graft union buried so the scion roots before the graft can fail.

Subject: [NAFEX] grafting on medlar

Hello all,

I have Medlar tree in the front yard that I have an
interest in experimenting with.
I hope to do a little grafting this year, and I want
to to know what fruit I can graft on
this tree.  I somehow remember reading Loquat and
Quince can be grafted on to it.
Anything else?
