That's about it.

Spiceberry was very common in the woods here, but now we are finding is dead
brown bushes. This killing off has happened quickly, over the past two or
three years here. I was not able to find one live spiceberry bush anywhere
this past summer.

The early settlers here dried the berries and used them in place of
allspice. They have an interesting combination of flavors. I can detect
lemon, pine, sassafras, and a hint of allspice. There are more flavors, but
these are all I have defined, so far. I wonder if anyone can tell us if they
can recognize more.

Jim, how are wild spiceberry shrubs faring in your location?
