<PRE>I've used neem oil as a repellant against grasshopers and Japanese
beetle.
As far as I can tell very little damage was done after the first application
however as new leaves unfurled these bugs got busy again. I don't think it
killed any of the grasshopers but it did slow them down from eating even when
they were stuck in my greenhouse and had no where else to feed. Temperatures
should be below 90 F otherwise watch out for scorched looking leaves. I am
suprised that it isn't more widely used against Japanese beetle. Everyone
seems to use the traps, malathion and sevin. Mention neem and that its from
a tree native to India and you are the weird one . Ken Asmus
