Seedlings I dont have to many problems with if I water from the
bottom. Some seedings that start off as tiny strands (like Dill), I
still havent mastered, but most trees seem to end up ok. I havent
tried a large bed as you have, most of my explorations have been 10-15
at a time. I does seem like a good soiless mix works best for me in
both cuttings and seedlings.

On the otherhand, I tried some some prunings from an elderberry bush
that I just stuck in some red clay in an old pot from the yard.
Every cutting is a success! Eventhough my propagation book said that
elderberry is to pitty and would rot before it would root. I have got
a hedge in back yard now! :)
