I planted several gooseberry varieties, several years ago - before I
discovered NAFEX, and all languished and died out in the full-sun location
I gave them here in southern west-central KY(about 70 miles NW of
Nashville, TN), except Pixwell, which grows rampantly here - and fruits
well. Haven't had a chance to try Glendale(recommended to me several years
ago by Ed), and if, at some point in time, I decide to try the 'dessert'
quality varieties, I'm gonna have to find a shady spot to put them.
