Helene:
The leaves on the Geneva Crab start spring growth with quite a nice
reddish color, but it fades as the summer progresses. Now the red color
is hardly visible on my little tree, which has not yet lost its leaves
here. The fruit in your photo certainly seems to fit the Geneva Crab
description, both in size and color, but there are apparently so many
other redflesh apples out there that you would probably have to compare
your apples with a identified Geneva Crab side by side to make an
identification with any degree of certainty. And even then, you would
have to make allowances for variations in seasonal conditions and
location.
