Can someone help ID an apple found in an old central NJ orchard?
The black color caught my eye. It iss as blck as Ark. Blacktwigbut
not as hard The shape is similar and size medium I forget how
Blacktwig tastes but this mystery apple is tart. It was dead ripe by
Sept. 12 Also it has striking red flesh near the skin. Now that I
think of it the apples seemed quite blemish and bug free.
I hope to catch-up to the owner some day but in the meantime any
ideas?
