Grapes will root very well from green cuttings, though the conditions
usually need to be somewhat exact. However, green cuttings are the only way
you can root some varieties with any percentage of success. I think the
thing that made yours root so well was the rather high temperature. When
it's done commercially, it usually requires a mist bench with 85 F bottom
heat. The rooting instructions on my web site include a method for rooting
green cuttings.
