grafts. I'm sure the scions are still alive (even without peeling back
some bark) because they are plump and "soft". There are a few scions
that died - they are dried up and tough, and some are shriveled.
The trees are full grown crabs which I've festooned with different
grafts. We had a drought in April, and the grafts were made during the
drought. We've had ample rain recently, though, and everything is
growing great guns.
I do have a copy of the double bag method (plastic and paper) but as I
said, the scions seem to be adequately moist. I might try resetting
them, but I may also just wait until next year and see what happens. I
did get at least one "take" (growing, with leaves) of all the cultivars
I tried.
