Sam,

Thanks for the info on self-sterility of Elephant Heart. I had lots of
blossoms
for the first time this year. I would have hand-pollnated if I knew it was
ss.

If mine really is an Elephant Heat, it bloomed much later than Methley and
Early
Golden (other Japanese plums). In fact it bloomed with Italian Prune,
Bradshaw and
Victoria!!

Hope I get at least one El Heart plum so I can confirm its identity.

: Most of my fruit trees are less than 10 years old so there is not a lot
