Hi Experts:
Last year the corn died for lack of rain, but, we had a bumper crop of the
sweetest, best tasting concord grapes in the past several years. This year
is wet, wet, wet. The corn is growing the best in several seasons, but, the
concords are few in number (compared to last year) and half of those
shriveled on the vine before becoming ripe. Those that have survived have a
bitter skin and very little sweetness in the meat. Is the rain to blame or
is something else at work here? The vines seem to be OK with some leaf
drop.
