MSAR-Riders,
Last summer, MSAR-Riders subscriber Richard Lynch sent me the following
information that I would like to share with you. He also sent a photo
and a scan of a newspaper clipping about a search and rescue exercise
involving 35 responders: SAR ground teams, mounted SAR, and canine SAR.
I can forward these if you are interested. LTC Lynch is CC'd on this
post, so you can contact him directly.

>The State of New Hampshire Governor's Horse Guards (ceremonial unit
>of the NH National Guard) has a mounted search unit that is available
>to NH Fish & Game in Region IV. To the best of my knowledge this
>organization is the only MSAR in the state.
For what it is worth, I know of a volunteer mounted patrol team that
does safety patrols on Hampton Beach. (New Hampshire has a short and
mostly rocky coastline on the Atlantic Ocean.)
