Husband is highly mechanically inclined and is an electrical engineer. Says not electrical problem. If it was my trailer, he said he would take the wheel off, and then the brake drum off and would visually inspect.

First thing to try is to blow out both connections- on the truck and on the trailer. Unless you have caps for them they get all kinds of gunk in there over the winter that can cause short circuits.

Not MSAR relevant except that it concerns readiness for safe emergency
response.

This is a dual axle trailer with electric brakes that hasn't been used
for months (winter) and now is not 100%. One brake is locking up at
the slightest touch of the brake pedal that actuates the brake lights.
Could this be a wiring fault? Or could some object be embedded in the
brake pad? Or?

Anyone have relevant experience?
