I am very open minded about this stuff, let me tell you. Far more
open minded now than I used to be. Looking back to when we first
started talking about it here some years ago, I now see how narrow
minded I was then. I was all for transport via horse. Obviously,
MSAR should be getting way more calls than we do, because obviously
horses are perfectly suited for the majority of patient transports.
Right? Wrong.

Have you all seen the body harnesses popular in adult therapeutic
riding programs? How many helpers do you need to keep an unsteady
adult safely in the saddle? How much room do you need to do it?
Those programs are a potential source of training and experience
for you, and there are many of them.

Do look into it, but don't assume it will be a large part of your
function as a SAR resource. I advise against investing a lot of
training time, money, and other resources in developing a new skill
unless you are quite sure there will be a "market" for your skill.
