I remember a while ago there was a post for a place that you could order a wide removable brim for helmets.  I have been searching the archives and can't find that post.  Any one have knowledge of where such a wide brim can be ordered?  I seem to remember it may have been in Florida.  Thanks.

Try googling Troxel helmets for the brim.  I think what you might be recalling about fFlorida and the helmets was the recent law that was passed in that state regarding them in a recent post here.  Try the archives here too!
