His program is a good one for seasoned as well as new riders and horses. In level 1 of their training, everything is done from both sides, amazing Karen how many horses don't ever get that type training. I am almost finished with Level 2 PNH with my horses and I teach my students the same methods - whether they are MSAR or just trail or show folks. Pat Parelli is another excellent example of superb horsemanship. Another notable trainer or should I say equine therapist is Linda Tellington Jones. Jones speciallizes in the Touch that Teaches. The best riders I know have the softest invisible touch that means so much to their horses. They are the riders use their reins as if they were threads! People who ride dressage have a great advantage in their training abilities. You almost get the impression the riders/trainers THINK it and the horse does it. Their cues to the horse are invisible and all it has to do is with balance and bodylanguage. Horses are masters at reading body language!
If anyone ever gets the chance to see the Spanish Lippizaner stallions preform... this is the epidomy of training!
As ever, ride safe.
