Be careful to ground check DeLorme based
maps. Like many map publishers they put canaries in the maps. These
are deliberate errors or omissions designed to catch copyright
infringers. Unfortunately a canary can indicate a road crosses a bridge
where there is no bridge and if your GPS uses digitized maps to guide you it
won’t know the bridge is out. Irv Lichtenstein From:

[mailto:msar-riders-bounces@lists.ibiblio.org] On Behalf Of annelabs@aol.com Try DeLorme software. I have purchased the whole
shebang....GPS, Topo and satelite disc of the state I live in. Works
pretty well! For those of us, (I'm ashamed to admit I'm one of them) who
just has a helluva time deciphering a topo map, the satelite imiage on the GPS
helps to know just where I am. The prices are all pretty reasonable and I
have had great luck with customer support. |
