I just cruised their web site and noted that several important items that
most organization list prominently are missing or reflect trade school rip
off practices:

The do not source their college accreditation. There are several boards that
certify colleges, but they don't say who certifies theirs. Unless it is a
major accreditation board it is a diploma mill.

They don't list board members or officers as elected. They are a self
perpetuating group, not elected by the members. The president appears to be
the sole operating officer, "audited" annually by an unknown board. Audits
get conducted by outside directors or boards of visitors, not your pet
board.

They seem operate to benefit their instructors, more likely their President,
not the community or volunteer population at large.

Their claim of being cheap is relative to what? Their degree costs $6000
plus books etc. That is the equivalent of $50 / credit hour. And a credit
hour in most accredited colleges is 15 contact hours per semester credit.
This what an accredited community college or state college/ land grant
university would charge in state or thereabouts for a BA/BS degree that is
worth the paper it is printed on and would require 4 years of full time
work.

As of now there are no accreditations for MSAR or even SAR instructors
outside of the military or a state training system. And those systems do
not allow instructors to "teach off the reservation". One of these days
there may be the equivalent of Pro Board or IFSAC or National Registry but
not yet.
