Don't worry no offense taken, I actually giggled at that comment. I'm not a government agent spreading conspiracies, but I do alot of disaster preparedness and response work and am on the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team also, that involves terrorism preparedness too. I'm also a farm gal, all my ancestors were farmers, worked the ground with horses from way back. :) Anyway, because of the disaster preparedness stuff I understand why they want to be able to do a rapid response to any virus/disease threat to animals, we aren't as prepared as we would like to be on zeroing in where it starts or the risk modelling on where it might go before we catch it. I've had discussions with my own equine vet on these subjects, they do lots of disease surveillance for exactly that purpose, they want to be all over it if and when it happens. Lighten up guys!
