First, most of us have to pick & choose when we can respond - days off,
arrange vacation days for training, etc. We are volunteers - this is a
service we provide as we are able. It is difficult to say "Not this time".
Second, in our state, if an situation has an OES number, we have to be
released from our jobs w/o reprecussions. I expected Jorene to address this
point.........
Third, you might think about becoming a firefighter or an EMT.
Welcome aboard.

What jobs work best for search and rescue. I work at ups and im finding it a
little hard to get time off with a few hours of notice on friday or monday.
I would like to do a week day sar rather then wait for weekend sars.
Thanks
