Re the playing fields, is the cleanup urgent? Or can it wait?
Sunlight is an excellent antiseptic. Ditto freeze/thaw cycles.
And wild free-living bacteria in the soil will also gobble up
pathogens.
By the way, the UV light emitted by common flourescent light
bulbs is enough to chop up DNA so badly that molecular biology
labs must cover the fixtures with UV-absorbing shields.
