NASAR sells 2 manuals on Mounted SAR. You have to call and ask for them
as they are not listed in there on-line library.

As a K9 handler (wilderness airscent and cadaver), we occasionally
have
callouts where there are also mounted search teams. It's an area I've
been
wanting to learn more about and the reason I've joined the list. If
there's
a handout, brochure or websites that could be passed along I'd enjoy
reading
about this resource. Are there any mounted search teams in Ohio on the
list?
Would enjoy hearing from you.
Thanks!

Ohio Federation of K9 Search Teams, Inc.

This is the web site to a Mounted/K-9 SAR Team in Indiana. Our team is just
now forming our mounted team and we have gotten a lot of advice form them.
They also have a conference every year that is for both mounted and K-9
teams. Hope this helps some.

Jenny,

Mike Dillard already mentioned the 2 books available from
NASAR, but those are maybe not what you want at this point.
For free info, look at some of the many MSAR unit websites
listed on http://www.ibiblio.org/msar/units/; The listing
includes 3 MSAR units in Ohio.
