Coolio is safely home. The 7-year-old monkey sneaked out of his cage and ran away from his Fountain Hills home last week because he could.
He used a key to unlock the front door of the house and is quite adept with screwdrivers and other tools. Gone for three days, Coolio raided neighbors' cars for goodies, including potato chips from one and Chapstick from another. He left a trail of empty water bottles filched from garages and took frequent respites in a wash.
Finally he surrendered to his owners, Danny and Krishna Almond, in a neighbor's driveway. They gave him a bath and put him to bed with his teddy bear. He slept through the night.
