Hi Deb, and all other's still receiving this,
Yes, I miss those good days. Ask a question, get an answer, friends like you say, scattered over this great country.
Two weeks ago there wasn't much but white threads of weeds in the garlic rows......now, after one 5-3/4" rain, then several 'over an inch'...... two foot pigweed and giant ragweed. Took the G Allis cultivating tractor down there, more to stir up storm pack than weed between the rows. I'd kept that up pretty well, so the garlic is on nice tall raised rows. A couple of hours of weeding and I got one row done. Six to go. Still, can't complain, a lot of 2-1/2" bulbs, leaves just beginning to yellow at the tips. Another great garlic year....
Potatoes, not so great, had poor germination with some commercial seed. Rats!!
Hopefully get the draft horses on the cultivators again now. Using them to move round bales with a Tumblebug bale hauler.
God bless,
Mike SW Wisconsin, zone ?.... yup, climate is changing. Does it all the time, that big yellow blob in the sky has a lot to do with it.
I miss the days when this list was active too! I learned so much from all of you and felt like I had colleagues all over the place.
Things are ok here in the Lower Hudson Valley. We desperately need rain. We're heading into 2 weeks of temps right around 90. ugh.
I would definitely participate if folks started talking here again.
Best to all of y'all,DebMobius FieldsWestchester County, NYwho knows what zone we are now! 6b/7a -ish

Subject: Re: [Market-farming] Market FarmingI miss the active list as well. We’re still here, still doing our little thing in our little corner of the world. Nice to see some of those familiar names on the list. Hope you all are well. I never did make the shift over to social media. I’ll happily still talk to anyone on the list as long as I don’t have to log into Facebook to do it. And William, welcome to the Left Coast!

The list hasn't been active for some time; but occasionally a bit of discussion still pops up in it.
I miss the active list.
