No problem transplanting fennel and kohlrabi in Dominica and that was from regular 4x6 flat, not individual cells, about 10-12 to flat.    Transplanting done when plants 3" or less, watered immediately.

Best wishes to all,

Karen

Dennis Ferlito of Bejo Seeds told me that they transplant all fennel and did when he was on the family muck farm in Oswego, NY.  We never discussed cell size, though.

I use 72's for cabbage and broccoli.

I direct seed kohlrabi and fennel, so can't speak to those. Do they transplant well?

What size flats (cells per flat) do you folks like to use to start fennel, cabbage, broccoli and kohlrabi in?
