Not really. It was just a thought. I've seen applications where Velcro was
used for some heavy-duty purposes and the challenge made me think of that.
I've also seen double-rows of Velcro. I'm not sure how well it would handle
stress in a tunnel, but I think its worth a try.
I also use another technique to reduce draft around the ends of side vents.
When I replace the plastic on the ends, I like to wrap the plastic around
the corner and extend it to the next hoop. Then, when the side vent comes
down, there's about 4' of plastic that the ends lay up against. It helps.

that might work?

Along these lines, has anyone ever tried using heavy-duty Velcro to close up
the sides of the side vents during the winter?
