Yes. They are watered with drip and there is minimal moisture on the leaves - a little from condensation coming off the plastic in the morning and some from wind-blown rain, but overall the foliage is dry which really seems to reduce the spread of downy mildew. I usually see some mildew later in the season and use some kaligreen to try to manage it.

Andy,
Do you think that the tunnel cukes are less prone to downy mildew than field grown ones?
Thanks,

I grow most of my cukes in a high tunnel they are planted 12" apart and trellised. They are pruned to one main stem up the trellis and then I let this main stem branch a little as it climbs the trellis. I end up with a main stem which goes up 8' and comes back down at least 4-6' and is very productive. In the high tunnel, I always prune, but out in the field I wouldn't bother.
I am very happy with both quantity and quality from my pruned cukes.

Does anyone have strong feelings about pruning cukes? I have always just left them alone,
but I'm wondering if I should be pruning to leave one or two leaders.
