We use #10 concrete wire by cutting the 5' wide strip every 4'. We then roll
each into a cylinder and use wire stub ends turned in to hook them together.
We set them over plants early, set a tomato stake solidly in the ground
between each pair of cages, then tie both cages to the stake with a twist
tie. If we don't stake them, they will get blown over once the plants fill
them up. The stakes are usually sufficient to keep them upright through the
season.
