There is a machine needed to create Elle Pots (Danish company). The
benefit to them is that they are biodegradable and offer the benefit of
root pruning of plugs. The nice part about them is that you can load the
paper wrap with any potting mix you want to use. The drawback to them is
access - locating a grower with a machine from which you can purchase
ready-made elles. I've heard that you can purchase ready-made Elles, but
the shipping cost is prohibitive. There may be a grower in MN that has a
machine which they aren't using anymore. Google 'Hilltop ghse Ellendale,
MN' and you should get contact info. I'm not sure they're in business or
not, but I heard they had a machine and may no longer be growing.
