Unfortunately both of ours are hydraulic/chain augers. My experience is with these two machines and limited even at that. Unfortunately, I have not had to rip that apart so I cannot help. I have had these machines three years and my knowledge ends on a certain part of it if it has not broken. :) My Dad has ripped apart the electrical and rewired both (mice issues) and I have been inside both of the them with walkers out and the entire chopper out so we can work in the back. One machine is automatic transmission and the other is manual. Both have the same engine. The better one has no AC so we eat dust a fair amount.
