Hi Kurt,

Those are Canadian dollars, although at the moment, we’re running pretty close to par (last time I checked your dollar was worth $1.06 CDN – on a couple of occasions, I’ve accepted USD at par at the market).

I checked with a few other growers at the market and ended up pricing my squash between $1.25 and $1.50 per pound, rounded off to the nearest quarter. Will be wholesaling a couple hundred pounds of acorns, delicatas, and spaghettis at $1.00/lb this week.

Cheers,

Rob

I grow those and a bunch of other varieties, and price them all the same. $1.00/lb is my wholesale price; I aim for $1.50 at market.

I am growing the orange Kabocha, just because I think it's prettier, and I'll be taking some to market tomorrow.  Does $1 a pound sound like a decent price?
