I don't know how you are irrigating, Allan, but have you considered a pump
powered some other way? Electric motor, solar (maybe that's too off the
wall)?

I can't help but notice that we are WAY outside our budget on
irrigation expense this season (irrigation has been irritatingly
expensive ever since a 5 gal can of gas started costing close to $15
and buys us about 5 hours of irrigation. We've been pumping water
pretty much 24/7 since late June.

ANYWAY, has anyone heard of any drought expense related grants or
loans through the FSA or USDA or ?? this season?

-Allan in WV where the forecast itoday s for the upper 90s and a 50
percent chance that it won't rain (which is about as good as it's
been for a long time. I did get rain yesterday: an intense 45 seconds
of it...but it was REALLY intense (and, as far as I know, real, not
imagined! ;-)
