Richard,
I am using the mesh bags with rocks, one on each corner, one every other section similar to how I do with row covers, the wind blows through the shade cloth, so that is not an issues like row covers. I have thought about clips or a better way, just seems just as easy to move a few rock bags out of the way, and stick my head under the cover.
