I had the same problem in my self-serve farmstand. I tried bagging
everything in plastic bags, which worked, but grew tired of the waste.
I then purchased a few clear plastic/lexan (cambros) food containers
with lids from a restaurant supply store and that helped quite a bit.
Just bunch the onions/greens and display them in the containers with
the lids on. Hope that helps, Clark in Arizona zone 9 Andy Fellenz wrote: 4C3C4FF4.5070901 AT fltg.net" type="cite">This season for the first time I have a reach-in cooler on my farmstand which will enable me to sell greens and some other crops which do better at cooler temperatures on the stand for the first time. |
