I'll bet a bee vacuum would work really well. A bee vacuum is used to
suck up bees that land in bad places during a swarm. I've used one several
times, and they're fairly straightforward. The one I used had a
shop-vac type body, a long (as long as you want) nozzle, and a cage-type
interior which allows the bees to survive their trip through ShopVacHell and
emerge alive out the other end. There are plans on the Internet for
several variations. And if you or some neighbors have chickens, I wonder
if that might be a real tasty meal for them when you're done.
