Air movement (fan) seems to help prevent; plus helps to strengthen your
plants.

Sometimes I get it and it never becomes a problem

Kathy,

The best thing you can do is spray Oxidate on the soil immediately.  It will
kill the mold within minutes.  I the peppers still need a few days to come
up, everything should be fine.

I have a wite cottony mold on the tops of my seeding trays of peppers. My
first concern is will my pepper seeds, planted 6 days ago, still come up?
How do I prevent this in the furture?
I use thermostacally controlled heat mats and they dry out during the day
while I am at my other job. Do I let the trays sit in water? Do I top water
twice a day and hope for the best?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks,

Kathy
