I'd be careful of anything Bt after recent uk studies on indian cotton. I do not know the latest status, but I do know uk scientists studying it thought there were indications that they feel Bt cotton destroys soil microbes. The conjecture here is that the Bt gene is 'on' in every cell in the plant unlike spraying, and this includes the roots. They believe this may be one if not the main reason for soil microbial degradation and lower yields in soils where Bt cotton is grown. Including a link, but not a definitive one.
