Just got this today, in the midst of the talk of tools.
You've probably all seen their surveys for women about tools. I don't know anything about them other than having filled out the survey a couple of years ago, but thought I'd pass this along anyway since it's a topic here today.
Best,
Deb

Greetings, and belated thanks for filling out our online survey regarding agricultural tools & equipment for women!
We're writing to let you know that our e-commerce site is now live. It features more than 40 products in nine categories (http://greenherontools.com/products_intro.htm), many recommended to us by survey respondents and all tested by women farmers, landscapers, market growers and/or gardeners prior to being offered on the site. Products range from the DeltaHook tractor rapid hitch for those of you who reported difficulties with the 3-point hitch, to the Valley Oak wheel hoe -- light yet extremely durable, effective, back-saving and simple to adjust to fit anyone's body! -- to Green Heron Tools garden hod essentials, garden hods filled with a sampling of our products at special "grand opening" prices. We've also got 4 styles of gloves to fit women; a range of cutting tools including hand pruners, hoof trimmers & hand saws; and even work clothing by Carhartt for those of you who said you couldn't find work clothes that fit. This is only a sampling of what we offer; we hope you'll let us know what you think of our selection and check back often as we add new products.
As you'll see, our site also has a "Resources" side, where we provide lots of information we hope will be useful to you & let you know more about us and our work. That includes a Green Heron Tools line of tools & equipment that we're working on with the help of a team from Penn State University, funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (http://greenherontools.com/about-us_the-story_grant.htm) and all of the input you shared with us. The tools & equipment we chose to focus on first -- digging shovels/spades, long-handled weeders, & a rototiller -- were chosen because they were the top priorities you shared with us. The other top priority was a safer, more user-friendly way to attach implements to tractors, and for that we are pleased to offer the DeltaHook. http://greenherontools.com/products_tractor_hitch.htm
Once again, thanks so much for your interest in our work and your willingness to share your ideas with us. Please stay in touch (& enjoy the upcoming season of seed catalogs!)
