This workshop is pretty Minnesota local, but there are a number of us in the greater 60 mile, or so, radius of the Twin Cities who may be interested.

got local?
farmer/buyer "speed dating"

November 30, 2009
10:00 - 3:00  Lunch provided - $10
Free to Minnesota Grown and Green Routes Members

FARMERS: Do you want to expand your market into restaurants, cafes, food services, institutions and distributors?

BUYERS: Are you interested in making new connections to purchase local products from farmers, producers and farmer-owned co-ops and distributors?

We are planning our third annual got local? farmer/buyer networking session for November 30th. This event  promotes the local foods movement here in Minnesota, and creates opportunities for new farmers to enter the  direct sales marketplace. This allows more money to go directly to local farmers. Local foods allow people to know where their food is coming from, how it is produced, and promotes a fair food system. This event will provide opportunities for Farmers/ Buyers who are working to create a positive change in the food system in Minnesota.

Thank you for your time and help in making this event a success, and for more information and to register click on the link below or contact Renewing the Countryside. brett AT rtcinfo.org.

Thanks,
Renewing the Countryside staff and interns.

If you know of a November e-newsletter or a potential farmer or local foods buyer who would be interested - feel free to forward this information on to them.
