Welcome!

I use a “Pro Mix” type starter, make sure the mix is wet and stays wet, cover seed and cover with a clear dome.  I also set the temp on the heat mat to around 75 -80*’s.  Usually only take around 7 days to pop out.

I have been a lurker on the list gathering info and want to say thank you to all the contributors.

This is my first year at trying to start pepper plants from seeds. And it was a 100% failure. None germinated, all was fresh seed from reputable seed houses.  I had them on a heat mat and tried to keep the top moist. What starter medium would you recommend? I read one blog that said you should soak pepper seeds overnite before putting in seed containers.

Thanks again
