I seem to remember from past posts that you're from Illinois. My apologies if
I'm wrong. But you need to document everything. Be as detailed and thorough
as possible; dates, times, identification of persons, boundaries, companies
etc. Take pictures with backgrounds clearly identifying the landscape. Bottom
line, be a lawyer for a time. See if you can get someone from Extension to
visit and confirm the incident and help you with documentation. See if you
can get the Illinois Dept of Ag to visit and confirm the incident. See if you
can get a claim filed against the applicator through the Illinois Dept of Ag.

While you're doing this, talk to the farmer who owns the field and see if he
can help you address this. Some farmers want nothing like this to happen to
their neighbors. Some don't care. But if they'll serve as an ally, the claim
will be much easier to deal with.

Good luck.

Bill
