Agreed...but in the end there are value judgements to be made. I choose not to use conventional plastic mulch (that IS allowed under organic rules) on my certified organic farm because I do not like using plastic and worry about the impacts of the manufacturing process and its disposal. I probably would use the biodegradable mulch. -John
