Do you have a Kinko's near you? I laminate just about everything, from photos to price cards...anything that might get wet at the stand. The have a descent range of sizes all the way up to 11x14".

So, you can play around with or get the things you need done before dropping the money on a good one. Get a good one. I think I did price cards for everything I am growing this year (2x5 index card with the name, then I simply write the price depending on which market I go to with a grease marker). I have a sandwich sign which I write highlight prices on and have velcro spots for photos and and a circular logo. The photos and logos are also laminated.

Hope that gives you some ideas.

I should break down and buy a laminator for market signage. Any advice on
what to look for or avoid? Brands/models you love or hate?

I mostly cut 8 ½ x 11 cardstock into 4 signs, but do some full 8 ½ x 11
sheets also.

I tried some of the self-sealing pouches last year, but they leaked and the
signs mildewed inside.

Thank you. Send rain.
