I've seen the stuff for sale, but not used it. One thing that bothered me about the sales spiel was that they seemed to be recommending the same stuff for all soils, with no questions or concerns about the balance of what was already there in the given field. Did the talk that you heard do that?

I'm also puzzled about the claim, on the web page you give in your post (under "soil remineralization and the climate"), that in recent years there's been "record snow cover in the Northern Hemisphere and a shortening of the growing season, by weeks in some places". What I've been reading over the past few years has been almost entirely in the other direction: disappearing snow packs and glaciers, longer growing seasons though often with erratic rain/snowfall patterns. I don't see any cite on the web page backing up the claim, except that it's "condensed from the writings" of several people; do you have any idea from what studies they're getting their information?
